MVC, VCB launch collaboration

Ventura County Ballet has found a new partner in its mission to bring the arts into the community. The ballet company has joined forces with the Museum of Ventura County to showcase a wide variety of artists and art forms through unique performances and experiences.

Elena Brokaw, MVC’s executive director, stated via press release, “We’re delighted to collaborate with Ventura County Ballet in showcasing local artists across genres. We look forward to continuing to work together on other initiatives to represent the diversity of arts and cultures in Ventura County.”

Man climbs Milwaukee Art Museum, posts video on social media

A stunning spectacle, shared with thousands on social media. A man recorded a video of himself climbing atop the Milwaukee Art Museum. The Oman-born, Zurich-based artist Sam Ghantous (b. 1989) is a true multi-hyphenate: artist, architect, designer, teacher, and co-founder of Foreign Objects, a multidisciplinary design and research studio. Exploring and experimenting with techniques from across disciplines and mediums, including the Internet, architecture, and video games, Ghantous composes works that blur the boundaries between physical and digital space.

Presented by YveYang Gallery of New York, Ghantous’s video piece Work-Space Portrait (2021) will be shown in the film section of Art Basel Hong Kong, which is curated by Zhenhua Li.
